A lot of people believe bad breath is caused by eating or drinking specific foods or fluids. We've all noticed familiar odors eminating from someone at work. Perhaps the guy hanging around the coffee pot suffers from "coffee breath". Maybe the girl in the next cubicle is very attractive until she lifts the cigarette to her mouth causing "smoker's breath". Aside from the breath issue, smoking has enough good reason to cause you to avoid that person. While I agree to an extent that bad breath can result from these behaviors, I believe bad breath is usually something more complicated. For some, bad breath is caused by tonsil stones. Tonsil stones are rarely a health risk but can be annoying.
The fact is, bad breath is caused by bacteria in your mouth, throat and lungs. Bacteria is a living organism that does the same things other living organisms do. They eat, multiply and unfortunately give off waste. This waste is what causes bad breath. Brushing an rinsing helps but does not eliminate bad breath. There is no way to reach all the bacteria especially when you consider that much of it resides in the back of your mouth on your tongue, in your tonsils and in the deep parts of your throat. The bacteria resides under the surface, and therefore rinsing can be ineffective.
If you want to combat your bad breath, you must deal with the bacteria in the hard to reach parts of you mouth and throat with more than just rinse and a toothbrush that doesn't reach.
Until recently there wasn't a way to get to the parts of your mouth that are near impossible to reach with a toothbrush. There is a doctor in California, USA that has developed a special tool for reaching these areas as well as a cleanser that (combined witht the tool) effectively eliminates bad breath. Check out his site here. Thus far, I am not aware of any other product like it. Sooner or later there are bound to be some other similar products available because success breeds copycats.
Dr. Katz' breath remedy worked for me when nothing else did. I am a firm believer in his methods and products. I recently noticed that he is offering a free trial of his bad breath products. I wish this was availble when I was searching for a bad breath cure. Nonetheless, I would do it all over again becuase his remedy works.

My bad breath seems to be coming from either the throat or deeper inside me. This is more pronounced when there is some kind of mucus in my mouth/saliva. This mucus comes out involuntarily. Please help me Doctor

I live in Nigeria and cant access Dr. Kants in the US. Ive been through hell in the past couple of years battling with this problem, Ive used mouthwash but this doesnt seem to help. can someone tell me where I can get help arounf here. I think everyone deals with bad breath at some time or another. All of us suffer from morning breath but at other times, depending on the food we eat or mouth sores, tooth decay etc. we can have bad breath that flares up. If you are someone that has bad breath constantly, I would definately recommend the remedy mentioned in the above article. If you only have bad breath occaissionaly, perhaps you can just deal with it.

i am a lady from malawi. i have been trying to combat bad breath for a long time. as i am typing this, i am chewing sugar-free gum, hoping that when my friend comes back in my office, i will feel like a human being again. it is disturbing. can detoxification work? i have a feeling that my best friend, who i have a crush on (and this is a guy), does not like me because of that!! HELP!!
